Visitor Information
Online Access
Anyone may access the library catalogs,
OskiCat and Melvyl, and most of the Library's web pages, from a computer
with an Internet connection. Other licensed electronic library resources,
such as journal article databases, are commercial products with access
restrictions and are not available to non-affiliated patrons from off
campus. These resources are available to all, however, from the public
computers in the Library.
Visiting in Person
The Anthropology Library is located on the second floor of Kroeber Hall. Easy access is available via BART and AC Transit together with the campus shuttle. A map and directions are available.
Reference Services
If you are not a member of the UC campus community, start with your local public or academic library's reference librarians to ensure you have used the local or regional resources to your maximum benefit.
If your project involves materials available only at the UC Berkeley
Library, please email Kathleen
Gallagher, Librarian and Interim Head of the Anthropology Library,
to set up an appointment.
