ebrary: ebrary is a collection of nearly 40,000 electronic books in a wide range of subject areas, including many titles related to environmental studies and literature. It contains popular-level books in all categories, as well as some specialized, technical titles. Note: Books are searchable and viewable online, but cannot be downloaded.

Encyclopedia of Biodiversity: The electronic version of the five-volume Encyclopedia of Biodiversity; provides in-depth information on all aspects of biodiversity issues worldwide, including social and policy issues.
Literature Resource Center: Indexes biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of more than 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers; provides full-text access to Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism Select, and Dictionary of Literary Biography.
Oxford English Dictionary (OED): The accepted authority on the evolution of the English language. Entries contain detailed etymological analyses that trace word development through time and are illustrated by quotations from a wide range of English-language sources.
University of California Press E-Books Collection, 1982-2004: Nearly 2000 online titles from the University of California Press, covering a wide range of subjects (including environmental studies, ecology, and California natural history).
