Subject headings, such as the following, will prove useful: Personnel Management, Organizational Behavior, Labor Supply, Industrial Location, Leadership, Decision Making, Organization. Choose the subject search box and restrict the search to the Long Library by choosing BUSI from the location menu. E-books may be located and used online through Ebrary. |

| Academic Search Complete | This is a large, interdisciplinary index covering thousands of periodicals in social sciences and humanities. Around half of the citations include full-text; click UC Links if there is not a full-text option. |
| Business Source Complete | Indexes thousands of peer-reviewed business journals as well as trade journals and other business magazines. Use subject or keyword searching to find academic articles, company and industry profiles, and other business-specific information. |
| The Conference Board | TCB research is a searchable database of full-text research reports on the latest issues in business management and US and global economics. This includes many reports on Human Resources and related topics. |
| Policy File | PolicyFile is a collection of research from various public policy think tanks. This will be particularly useful for finding information about public policy issues related to employment and human resources. |
| PsychINFO | PsychINFO is a major indexing and abstracting resource for psychology and related disciplines. Look here for journal articles about psychological subjects related to human resources management. |
| Sociological Abstracts | Sociological Abstracts is a major indexing and abstracting resource for sociology and related disciplines. Look here for journal articles about sociological subjects related to human resources management. |

Charts vary in detail and format, but are nevertheless useful for an at-a-glance look at organizational practices and trends. | International Directory of Company Histories | This is a long-running series of brief narrative descriptions of major businesses. Company profiles are frequently updated; check the index of the latest volume to see the latest update on a particular company. Only in print in the Business Library Reference Section HD2721 .D36 |
| Mergent Online | A major source for information about public companies. Includes company background information, financials, company history, annual reports, and competitors. |
| ThomsonOne | This database provides investment bank analyst reports on companies. Reports generally emphasize financial information but do often address organizational developments in a company.

| The New York Times (Proquest) | Use this to read current or back issues of the NY Times. To browse articles in the order in which they appear in the paper, click “Sort by page number” at the top right-hand corner of the page. |
| Regional Business News | This database covers regional business publications from US metropolitan and rural areas. |
| The Wall Street Journal | Use this to read current or back issues of the WSJ. To browse articles in the order in which they appear in the paper, click “Sort by page number” at the top right-hand corner of the page. Please use this instead of Factiva to read the WSJ. |
