Center for Chinese Studies Library
University of California, Berkeley
Closure Announcement
The Center for Chinese Studies Library closed at 5:00 pm on Friday, December 21, 2007, and will remain closed. CCSL will merge with the East Asian Library to form the new C.V. Starr East Asian Library, tentatively scheduled to open in early March 2008. We ask you to forgive the necessary break in public services during that time and to note the following:
- Regular materials may be charged out through December 21, 2007. Media and current serials, which have limited circulation of one week, may be charged out only through December 13 and must be returned by the date due.
- Regularly circulating materials stored at NRLF may be paged during this time; when you order the page online, simply specify the delivery location as Main. Please note that there may be a one- to two-day delay in delivery.
- Books may be returned to the Library after January 2, 2008, by leaving them in the book drop to the left of the third-floor entrance to the Starr Library.
- For renewals, see http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/services/renewing.html.
- Materials placed on course reserve will be kept at Moffitt and Graduate Services through the spring semester. Details on how to place items on reserve will follow in the coming weeks.
- Any questions regarding circulation should be directed to Bruce Williams, or Tomoko Kobayashi. The Circulation Desk phone numbers are 2-2556 and 2-2557, and are available during this period.
- Any questions regarding CCSL should be directed to Susan Xue.
We apologize again for the irregularity.
