Scope of Collection
The collection is selected to meet the needs of the College of Chemistry, which includes the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Chemical Engineering.
Strengths
The collection's strengths are in the areas of physical chemistry, organometallics, inorganic chemistry, and methods of synthesis.
Primary Languages and Formats
Primarily English; some Russian, German and French. The online journal collection is particularly strong as is the access to online specialized databases in chemistry such as SciFinder Scholar, MDL CrossFire Beilstein/Gmelin and Science of Synthesis. There is also an increasing trend to acquire reference handbooks, data compilations and encyclopedias in digital format.
