Scope of Collection
The UC Berkeley Library maintains a research-level collection in Gender and Women's Studies which supports the research and teaching programs not only of the Gender and Women's Studies Department but of many other disciplines, interdisciplinary programs, and professional schools.

Primary Languages and Formats
The primary language is English; the collection concentrates on resources published in US/Commonwealth countries.

Strengths
Women in US/UK history, race/ethnic/immigrant experience, women and development.

Special Collections
Significant microform sets of primary source documents have been acquired and are listed at: Microform Sets in Gender and Women's Studies.

Related Collections
Education/Psychology, Social Welfare, Doe/Moffitt (especially history and sociology).
