Finding course reserves (students)

To find course reserves, please search OskiCat by instructor name or department and course number.

Placing items on reserve (instructors)

To place items on course reserve, please complete the Course Reserves Form. Lists can be emailed to Zachariah Veley, returned to the Circulation Desk of the Earth Sciences & Map Library, or faxed to (510) 643-6576.

Please submit your course reserve requests to the library as soon as possible to allow adequate time for processing, recalling items from patrons, and paging books from other libraries. Lists will be processed in the order they are received.

If you are interested in having your course reserve materials available on the web, bSpace, the UC Berkeley collaborative learning environment, can be used to house electronic course reserves. For help on how to use bSpace, visit the Educational Technology Services (ETS) bSpace support site.

Personal copies and photocopies

  • Place photocopied articles or other loose material in folders or envelopes. (The Library has only a limited number of folders and envelopes available, so please provide your own.)

  • Multiple articles can be grouped together and circulated as a unit. Please submit these items in a folder or envelope and designate a title such as "Articles for Week 1" or "Readings for September."

  • Provide an adequate number of copies for the size of your class.

  • If there are any special instructions for returning your materials at the end of the semester, please let us know.
