Donate to the Library

Thank you for considering a gift to our library. Over the years, the library and the campus have been enhanced immeasureably through the generosity of alumni, friends, and the community.

Financial Gifts

To make a financial gift to our library, please contact the UC Library's Development Office, or see the many different ways of giving to the UC Library. Donations may be earmarked specifically for the Education Psychology Library.

Books and Journals

The library welcomes books or journals that augment or fill in our existing collection. Because our shelf space is limited, however, please be aware that we must carefully review all gifts for their usefulness. We cannot accept duplicates of titles already in our collection, outdated textbooks, or books in poor condition. We will accept issues of journals in our collection if they help complete our set. If you have questions about whether we may accept your material, please contact us. Please see the Gifts Program for more information about material donations to the library, including appraisals for tax purposes.

If we are unable to accept your gift, we encourage you to consider donating the material to other libraries. Depending on the material, you might contact the Social Welfare Library, Public Health Library, Doe/Moffitt Library, or perhaps another library in the UC Library system. You may wish to contact the libraries at nearby schools with education or psychology programs, such as San Francisco State, Cal State East Bay, San Jose State, and Cal State Sacramento. Public libraries, including those in Alameda County, Berkeley, Oakland or Richmond, may also be able to use your material.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact the unit manager at 510-643-6224.
