Academic Search Complete. Academic Search Complete is a multi-disciplinary database that indexes and abstracts articles in more than 10,900 journals in multiple languages from 1865 . It provides bibliographic information and some full-text for over 5300 journals. EDP provides UC-eLinks access to full-text in the UC collections via the EBSCO interface.
Alcohol Studies. This database contains over 80,000 citations for journal articles, books, book chapters, dissertations, conference papers, and audio-visual materials related to the areas of alcohol and addiction studies.
American Periodicals. (1740-1900). Contains digitized images of more than 1,100 periodicals. Includes special interest and general magazines, literary and professional journals, children's and women's magazines and many other historically significant magazines.
ArticleFirst. Contains over 11,000 popular magazines and scholarly journals in the areas of social sciences, humanities, engineering, technology, popular culture, and general interest from 1990.
Business Source Premier. Business Source Premier is a database that indexes and abstracts articles from over 2,710 scholarly business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business, etc. It also contains company profiles, country reports, industry profiles, and market research reports. EDP provides UC-eLinks access to full-text in the UC collections via the EBSCO interface.
Children's Literature Comprehensive Database. CLCD provides access to information about children's literature and Pre K-12 media of all types, including reviews from respected publications.
Cognet. The CogNet Library provides a searchable collection of reference works, journals and books, along with an archive of materials from brain science conferences. Texts are provided by The MIT Press and other publishers, professional associations, institutions, and individuals who are willing to publicly share access to online works. CogNet is a self-contained full-text database.
Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts. Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, Client Narratives, and Reference Works is a searchable collection of primary source material including real transcripts of therapy and counseling sessions and first-person narratives. It also contains several reference works in mental health and counseling. This growing database will contain more than 2,000 session transcripts, 40,000 pages of client narratives, and 25,000 pages of secondary reference material. The database currently includes approximately 45,300 pages of material, including more than 9,000 pages of session transcripts, more than 17,000 pages of client narratives, and more than 18,000 pages of secondary reference material. Counseling and Psychotherapy Videos. A large and rich online collection of videos available for the study of social work, psychotherapy, psychology, and psychiatric counseling. More than 276 videos totaling more than 300 hours.
CQ Researcher. Provides in-depth stludies of current and historical social issues, including education and mental health.
Digital Dissertations. Digital Dissertations, from ProQuest, indexes graduate dissertations from over 1,000 North American, and selected European, graduate schools and universities. Dissertations published since 1980, and master's theses since 1988, include brief abstracts written by the authors. UC dissertations since 1996 are free for downloading. Pre-1996 UC dissertations can be found via Pathfinder. Other university titles can be borrowed through interlibrary loan or purchased online in a variety of formats.
ERIC. Education Resources Information Center, sponsored by the Institute of Educational Sciences, U.S. Department of Education. A bibliographic database and search engine for finding journal articles and full-text Eric Documents (reports, studies, white papers) in education. Journals and documents are indexed back to 1965. Educational Research Abstracts. ERA is a bibliographic database and search engine for finding abstracts and full-text articles which cover the current international research in education. Specific topics, in addition to general education, include: child development, educational management, educational technology, health education, higher education, literacy, multicultural education, sociology of education, special needs, and technical education and training. If full-text is not available via ERA itself, citations identified may be found via Pathfinder or Melvyl. ERA is not linked via UC-eLinks. More info.
Family and Society Studies. Provides citations and abstracts of literature dating back to 1970 in social science, social work, family studies and education. Source documents include related websites, internet documents, professional journals, conference papers, books, book chapters, selected popular literature, government reports, discussion and working papers, unpublished material such as poster sessions, statistical documents, theses, dissertations and other sources.
International Encyclopedia of the Social and Behavioral Sciences. This encyclopedia provides substantive current information about key subjects in psychology, education and the social sciences.
ISI Web of Knowledge. ISI Web of Knowledge is an online academic database provided by Thomson Scientific. It provides access to many databases and resources, including Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), and covers about 8,700 leading journals in science, technology, social sciences, arts, and humanities, ISI Proceedings, Current Contents Connect, Medline, ISI Essential Science Indicators, and Journal Citation Reports (two editions: Science and Social Sciences),
ISI Journal Citation Reports. Part of ISI Web of Knowledge, this tool provides citation analysis and impact factors.
JSTOR. JSTOR is an archival multi-disciplinary database of articles published 3-5 years prior to today. It includes nearly 600 scholarly journals, including more than 70,000 issues, and includes articles in the social sciences, education and psychology.
Lexis-Nexis. Lexis-Nexis provides news, medical, legal, statistics, and business information. It includes over 6,000 individual titles of international, national and local newspapers and wire services; radio and television transcripts; and business, medical, industry, and legislative magazines, journals, and newsletters. It contains wide geographic coverage and translations from foreign-language sources.
Medline-Pubmed. PubMed is a search engine for accessing the MEDLINE database. PubMed is provided by the U.S. National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health. In 2007 MEDLINE contained over 17,000,000 records from more than 5,000 journals published in the United States and more than 80 other countries primarily from 1950 onwards. In addition to MEDLINE, PubMed also offers access to OLDMEDLINE for pre-1966 citations.

PAIS & PAIS Archives. Contains social science, government, international relations, and political science. EDP provides UC-eLinks access to full-text in the UC collections via the CSA interface.
Periodicals Index and Periodicals Archive. Periodicals Index indexes millions of articles published in over 4,700 periodicals in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Periodicals Archive Online, provides a full-text archive of some 475 journals published between 1802 and 1995.
PrimateLit. PrimateLit indexes books, articles, dissertations, reports concerning nonhuman primate behavior and psychology.
Project Muse. Project Muse indexes 250 scholarly journals in the humanities and social sciences from 1993 to the present. Topics include the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, and economics
PsycCritiques. PsycCritiques contains reviews of current books and films dealing with psychology and psychiatry, including the 10-year backfile of Contemporary Psychology book reviews and all PsycCritiques weekly releases, from 1995 to the present week. PsycInfo. PsycInfo is a database/search engine for identifying psychological literature from the 1800s to the present. PsycInfo provides indexing of bibliographic citations, abstracts, cited references, and descriptive information for finding information in a wide variety of scholarly publications in the behavioral and social sciences. Social Work Abstracts. Social Work Abstracts, produced by the National Association of Social Workers, Inc., is an index, search engine and database that contains more than 45,000 records in approximately 450 social work and related journals from 1977. Topics covered include homelessness, AIDS, child and family welfare, aging, substance abuse, legislation, community organization.
Sociological & Social Services Abstracts. Sociological Abstracts indexes the international literature in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. The database provides abstracts of journal articles and citations to book reviews drawn from 1,800+ journals, and provides abstracts of books, book chapters, dissertations, and conference papers. Social Services Abstracts provides bibliographic coverage of current research focused on social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development. The database abstracts and indexes over 1,300+ journals and includes abstracts of articles and dissertations, and citations to book reviews. Urban Studies. This database indexes 12 journals, some journals going back 42 years, and encompasses over 10,500 articles. Web of Knowledge. Indexes over 8,000 of the leading journals in the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences, providing searching of footnoted citations. Includes the Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Science Citation Index, and Social Sciences Citation Index. Provides citation ranking.
Women's Studies International. WSI indexes the core disciplines in Women’s Studies to the latest scholarship in feminist research. It covers sociology, history, political science & economy, public policy, international relations, arts & humanities, business and education. WSI draws from 800 essential sources including: journals, newspapers, newsletters, bulletins, books, book chapters, proceedings, reports, theses, dissertations, NGO studies, important websites & web documents, and grey literature. Over 2,000 periodical sources are represented. EDP provides UC-eLinks access to full-text in the UC collections via the NISC interface.
