EndNote Tips for Engineering Databases:
Importing from RefWorks

Save & Import

In RefWorks:

1. Choose References > Export from the menu across top of the page
2. Choose to include All References or references from a specific Folder
3. Select Bibliographic Management Software (Endnote,Reference Manager,Procite) as the export format
4. Click on the Export to Text File button
5. Save the records to your Desktop as a text file (e.g., refworks.txt)
   Note: You need to use the File > Save as option in your browser

In EndNote:

1. Choose Import from the File menu
2. Click on the Choose File button and select the text file from your Desktop
3. Select the Reference Manager (RIS) filter from the Import Option menu
   Note: If necessary, use Other Filters... to find it
