EndNote Tips for Engineering Databases:
Importing from Web of Science

Direct Export

In Web of Science:

1. Mark relevant records to create a Marked List
2. Click on the Marked List button at the top of the screen
3. Select additional fields to include (e.g., abstract)
4. Click on the Save to EndNote, RefMan, Procite button on the bottom of the screen.
   EndNote should open automatically — select a library and the records will download themselves.

Save & Import

In Web of Science:

1. Mark relevant records to create a Marked List
2. Click on the Marked List button at the top of the screen
3. Select additional fields to include (e.g., abstract)
4. Click on the Save to File button
5. Save the records as a text file (e.g., wos.txt)

In EndNote:

1. Choose Import from the File menu
2. Click on the Choose File button and select the text file
3. Select the Web of Science (ISI) filter from the Import Option menu
   Note: If necessary, use Other Filters... to find it
