Asian Studies
Group in Asian Studies (GAS) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate program in humanities and social sciences with over 70 affiliated faculty members in 20 departments of Letters & Sciences and professional schools engaged in teaching and research about Asia across campus. GAS is augmented by the programs of five major area centers that offers lecture series, annual conferences, and events during the academic year. The East Asian Library, the Center for Chinese Studies Library, and the South/Southeast Asia Library provide the primary vernacular research and teaching needs of Asian studies along with other libraries on campus.
